My vote is for Senator John McCain. At least he doesn’t lie about who he is and what he brings to the table. But stupidity will out and Obama will be the next president. Who then will our darker brethren blame for their social ills then. It be da black man faut!! - The Nakaii (whoever the fuck that is)

I really don’t care too much for politics, and its not because I don’t care about “the issues”. It’s merely because from everything that I’ve either witnessed or researched so far, none of the issues we seem to constantly bitch about get dealt with anyway. The days of Andrew Jackson are long gone (I’ll get to him later), and the political machine is not just in Chicago. Its on our TV’s and computers every second of every day. Were essentially having a contest to see who is prom king, and thats really it.

The thing I keep hearing about is this “Change” thing. What is this change? What president has ever actually made a dramatic fucking change. Why do these presidents even talk about abortion? Roe happened over 30 fuckin years ago, and it hasn’t changed since, yet this issue is still so huge. Nothing is going to change people. You know what either Obama or Mccain should really do to win the election? Do what Bush did, and offer people $600. Seriously, whoever does that will win in a landslide vote.

The pictures above are from South Park, and the genius’s that they are pretty much hit the nail on the head when it comes to politics. You’ll get two guys, who are pretty much both fucktards, and you gotta choose the lesser of two evils. Our politicians are such pussies these days, they don’t stand up for anything!! Put Obama in a room full of democrats and he’s singing the praises of liberal choice, but put him amongst the conservatives and he will flip in a minute. Mccain is the same way, Kerry, Dole, etc. Bush was the only one who didn’t, but thats because Bush doesn’t know how to speak correctly in the first place. We can’t fault a guy based on a handicap.

You know who I want to see as president again? Andrew Jackson. I know hes been dead awhile and all, but that guy was seriously bad ass. He fought in over 100 duels in his life (gun duels, not swords), did what he wanted, stood by what he said, and was our nations biggest tough guy president ever. He had an assasination attempt when he was in his 60’s, and as his would be assasin shot at him several times, Jackson just slowly walked towards him and then beat him with his cane. Read about his duels too, they are insane. Lets dig him up, cause even a dead Jackson will have more balls than anyone we put in office now.

Moral of the story? None of this political bullshit is going to change your life a year from now. Stop whining, and just vote for whoever you like. Key thing though, keep it to yourself. Nobody wants to be castrated because they voted for Mccain or Obama. Personally, I think I’ll vote for Gary Coleman.

All you have to do is turn on the TV at night, and see some douche telling you his green cloth will bring you millions of dollars, or cure cancer, or some other crap as long as you send him $30 a month. Its ridiculous the shit that people will buy out of hope. Now, we have Guitar hero for christians. Because, as we all know, real Christians need to stay away from that “SECULAR” music and stay with the good stuff. At least they are no different from the rest of us in that they’ll have to pay $100 for their version.

Somehow I don’t think this was what Jesus was picturing in the future. Just a guess though.

This little entry is going to sound straight out of 2nd grade, and I really don’t give a shit. Sometimes, we just seem to hate things for no good reason. Other times, our hatred is completely and utterly justified (see others), but for this post, it’s going to simply be a pointless bitch fest. In honor of the fact that I recently watched “High Fidelity”, I will count down a Top 5 list, with number 1 being the worst. Lets do this:

5. Tobey Maguire

What good can I say about this guy? He’s lucky? He managed to score the top role in one of hollywood’s biggest franchises, but yet he is just as annoying in those movies as he is in every other one. The only difference is that his role in Spiderman calls for him to be annoying and whiny. Plus, his face reminds me of that guy in the old “Bitter Beer Face” commercials.

4. Tom Cruise

Alright, so this one is a little biased based on recent events, but CMON!!!!!!!! This guy is certifiably insane. It makes me literally want to go and give an award to whatever PR team handled him before he fired them in favor of his sister. That PR team managed to hide 20 years of batshit crazy from us, and he alone managed to wipe all that good work away in less than a year. Plus, hes a midget who portrays tough guys in action movies. Stallone is a midget too, but at least he was ripped. I swear hollywood is run by oompa loompas.

3. Hayden Christensen

Wow, now here is one shitbag who justifiably deserves to be on this list for his “merits”. Can he talk correctly? I mean really, I don’t think he properly knows how to use tone in his voice. Watching him act “emotionally” during the last star wars movie was simply mind boggling. I just imagined Ewen Mcgregor wishing he could take a power drill to his ear drums. He ruins everything he touches, and I wish he would never act again. Unless he was in a movie about a guy who repeatedly gets punched in the face without saying a word. Id pay to see that one.

2. Tara Reid

Don’t get all PC on me, just because I didn’t say actress doesn’t mean I can’t include them too. In explaining the sheer waste that is Tara Reid, there are only 4 words that come to mind. ALONE IN THE DARK. If you haven’t seen this cinematic masterpiece, I highly encourage you to visit your local video store and brave the IQ lowering that will ensue after viewing. I mean, Tara Reid plays a SCIENTIST!!!! That should be enough explanation. How has this girl not ended up in hardcore porn yet? You know thats in her future.

1. Leonardo Dicaprio

Leo, as his friends call him, is the biggest load of Ass vomit this world has ever known. Whenever I hear his voice, I have this knee-jerk reaction to kick whatever is around me. His face is all rat looking, he whines a lot, and he made the biggest chick flick of all time. That alone should require him to have his testicles removed. It’s not fair that dildos like Dicaprio get to continue making movies, but a genius like Kevin Sorbo has hercules cancelled. All kidding aside, I would have totally loved Titanic if Kevin Sorbo was in the lead role, and he threw Kate Winslet’s character overboard because she was actually his evil stepmother Hera. That would’ve been awesome.

Has anyone ever really thought about this? Actors get paid to lie to us. We Willingly fork over millions of dollars to these people, to continually deceive us. Now, I know what you’re thinking: “But Brad, don’t be a retard. There’s a difference”. Listen, I get it, they aren’t lying to us in the sense that most of us are used to. I myself love movies and don’t want them to stop making them because of my stupid opinion, but the facts are the facts. And this fact is that the Oscars, are essentially a competition for biggest liar.

Lets say we had a guy come up to us, and tell us about a great business opportunity. If we gave him $100, he would take it and quadruple our money on the stock market, or some shit like that. Then, after hes taken our money and we haven’t heard from him, we see later on the news that he was arrested for conning people out of their money. What then did he “do”, to convince us to give him our money in the first place? Well, I’m pretty sure thats called ACTING. He “PERFORMED” an act to swindle us out of our money.

The deal is, although we ask these people to do this, and pay them with full knowledge of what their doing, we are simply awarding the principle of legalized conning. Arnold is not really a robot from the future, and Christian Bale is not really Batman. But we pay these people to Lie to us, but acting as these characters. So with that point made, what is the purpose of the Oscars? Well, to award our favorite or “greatest” conning performance. Who LIED to us the best? I wish I was an actor.

How much do we have to hold each others’ hands in this world? It’s getting to the point that making our own personal decisions are no longer acceptable. I agree that there is a line that needs to be drawn where our personal actions inflict harm on one another, but come the fuck on now. This is starting to get ridiculous when I can’t have a smoke ANYWHERE except the freezing fucking cold outside.

Here’s the deal. We have in place a set of rules and laws that govern what we can, and cannot do. When it comes to substances (Alcohol, drugs, etc.), these laws are even more defined primarily by situation. You can drink, but you can’t drive drunk. Why? Because the roads are public property. They are the living rooms of frat-houses. We have to be semi-respectful of everyone’s space so that we can all be safe on the road. Same goes with boating, you can’t boat drunk, because of that same principle. Drugs? Well you can’t use those at all, unless your doctor prescribes some goodies for you. With those though, you can still get in trouble for the above mentioned.

So now we come to smoking. Smoking doesn’t impair you or your judgement (unless you’re trying to quit, then you become a royal ass-clown). Smoking does however, cause the user cancer. That follows under the personal choice part, which I think is everyone’s right. Smoking is harmful to your health, but so is driving on the highway. At least smoking kills you nice and slow. The second part, is that secondhand smoke is harmful to others, and here is where our conundrum comes in.

I get that because smoking is harmful to others, the public should put restrictions on it’s public use. Libraries, government centers, state funded buildings, they all should be non-smoking. These are places that everyone can go to and use at their discretion. They fall under the category of public roads. Here’s where it gets muddled though. Businesses are private establishments. With the state taking away the ability for people to smoke in bars/restaurants/bowling alleys, etc they take away a plethora of choice.

Business owners no longer have the ability to even choose to offer that convenience to people. Bars have especially been hurt by this, with certain states banning and others don’t, people are driving to the place that will give them that choice. It used to be that if a restaurant owner didn’t want to allow smoking, he or she could. The choice was never that they HAD to allow smoking. Businesses are run according to their owners desires, and the consumer (you and I) had the choice whether or not to visit them based on their offers. So what do we have now?

1. Business owners no longer have the choice to offer the amenity

2. Consumers no longer have the option of not freezing their ass off in winter

3. Everyone’s choice is taken away.

People argue that “Well, employees shouldn’t have to work in those conditions, whine whine whine”. You know what? That employee knew full well what they were getting into, and they made the personal CHOICE to fucking work there. They can choose to get a new job if they don’t like it. The whole basis of this fucking country was to allow the FREEDOM of personal choice, expression, speech, etc. Slowly its all being taken away.

SMOKING BANS ARE JUST ANOTHER FORM OF COMMUNISTIC ACTION!

QUESTION: Whether married or just dating, who should ask for sex first? Believe me if it’s dating it’s easier. I just tell hubby I am going to bed and if he asks I say “OK”. Tired of begging for it, or wondering if I should skip my shower tonight?

ANSWER: This is a question that I think a lot of people face no matter what the situation. I think that with all relationships there will be a varying degree of desire when it comes to sex. Both partners not only will want different amounts of sex, but also different amounts of sex during different times in their lives. I think that the roles of men and women have changed drastically, and its time to face the new reality and adapt accordingly.

As the sexual revolution has progressed, the roles and freedoms have as well. Women are going through a period of sexual empowerment both perceptively good and bad, but its opened the doors for them to demand what they want now. If you want your husband to have sex with you, the you have every right to demand it, or else demand some changes.

No kidding aside, sex is an extremely important part of a relationship, whether fresh or long-term. It is each individual partners’ RESPONSIBILITY to make sure that the other is satisfied. I don’t give a shit what anyone says. If you enter into a relationship with someone, you gotta do the work. That includes sex, and the longer you’re with someone, sometimes the more effort you have to put in to make it exciting. So what can someone do in the position above?

Give your husband/boyfriend an ultimatum. If he’s not satisfying you sexually, then it will create a negative domino effect that will trickle down into other areas. Continue to put forth your effort though. Dress up sexy, give out a blowjob, be spontaneous. Do what needs to be done to spice things up. But make sure that he starts to follow suit as well. Nobody wants to be the only worker in the factory. If he’s still not responsive, and it’s important to you, then I say fuck him (figuratively). You only live once, quit wasting your time! There are plenty of other men who will be glad to fill the vacant shoes.

So, then to finally get to the question. Who should make the first move? The person who wants the sex should. Initiative goes a long way in this world, and you have to take it when it comes to sex. There’s a problem if you’re always making the first move, but in that case see the above paragraph. Now, make that move and get to some happy (hopefully) fucking!

So this little post might get controversial, but let me remind you of something here. I am not a racist, and a large chunk of my family is african. Not african-american either, I mean the real deal from the motherland. My post though, is on a lot of the issues that a good amount of us “white folk” have to think about. Where do we draw the line on responsibility for things that happened in the past?

Slavery was a horrible time for black people. Let me get that out of the way immediately, because its not an excusable issue. In addition to that, the oppression and racism that happened over the next hundred years isnt excusable either. The thing is though, is I’m personally having a difficult time knowing where to draw the line in regards to personal responsibility regarding that issue. Let me explain a little family history.

My sets of grandparents came over from Sicily and Ireland in the early 1900’s, so right off the bat you can eliminate my lineage from the slavery issue. We didn’t have a cotton plantation, hell my family was dirt poor. So I can rightfully eliminate myself from the slavery issue. Like I said before as well, My family is extremely diverse. I don’t know a single “racist” person towards anyone in my family, considering we are quite a large melting pot of different cultures.

The thing that gets divided here, is that it seems to always be White vs. Black. The thing that were forgetting though, is that its so much more complex then that. America is the melting pot for all cultures, and the color of someones skin is seriously undefined here. You can meet a “white guy” on the street one day, but talk to him and find out hes from russia and just came here. Does that make him a racist from the (IRONICALLY) racist stereotype that all white people are racists?

Heres a little history. So black people have essentially an inherent resentment against white people. Chris Rock said it nicely in one of his routines, when he said “For black people, America is like the rich uncle who paid your way through college……..but he molested you.” In a way, I think hes exactly right. But I dont think that gives him or other african americans to immediately judge every white person on that same basis.
If African Americans have the right to hate me based on a pre-conceived notion that I’m an heir to slavery, should I hate them because of what happened to Sicily in the past???

Thats right. Africans came and sacked Sicily, and oppressed sicilians for 2 decades. Does that give me the right to hate them for what happened a thousand years ago? NO. The whole basis of racism and stereotyping is condemning someone for and completely unjust reason. I’m not going to condemn my black friends because of something that happened to my ancestors that long ago. Just as I hope that they accept me for who I am, not what they may think is in my families past.

I truly hope that one day, we can come to a point in our society where we don’t even use the words “black”, “white”, “asian”, etc. Maybe someday, we just use the words “people”, “person”, and “friend”. We are trying to break down the walls of all forms of segregation, but we are keeping the labels that automatically define and separate us. Lets knock em down.

There’s a trend that I’m noticing in today’s society that you can see fairly clearly in our movies as well. If you watch older movies, you’ll notice a striking socialability about the people. Whether its a small town, or a big city, people on the street talk to each other. Random strangers say Hi, people don’t hesitate to stop on the side of the road to help, hitchhikers actually get the ride. If you look around today that simply doesn’t happen, not even in the movies! Welcome to the new world of Chicken-Shit Syndrome.

So what is this malady? Who or what is to blame for this? I may be way off here (not really, im just trying to sound humble), but I personally blame it on:

A: Advances in technology

B: The Media

Advances in technology you say? Yes, and I’ll tell you why. Go back 20 years, and how did people communicate with each other? Phone, in person, or mail. Mail was pretty much strictly for the long distance crowd, but for the most part we had a fairly good balance of personal contact with other people. There were senses of pride and community, and somewhat of a feeling that people were good. We essentially were forced to interact with people to either get what we want, or build any kind of relationship. So what has happened?

The Internet happened. People no longer have to interact at all. You can literally live your life, getting whatever you need, without ever leaving the safety of your home. Groceries, clothes, sex, electronics, banking, etc. All of it can be done online. Shit, if computers find a way to wash your ass, your in for some serious trouble. There are even sites like “Second Life” where you can literally just live your life online. Couple this with advanced cell phones and all the other incredible tech we have, and we have made it infinitely easier to reach each other. Thats the problem though. Since reaching people is so easy now, we take it for granted, and are becoming a society thats losing its sense of personal confrontation.

Now why is it that we would even want to lose this personal confrontation? Well, for that I blame the media. Michael Moore’s documentary about columbine showed an interesting point about our media. If you watch our news, you will see story after story about murder, rape, robbery, etc. Every possible angle has now been covered. Priests sexually abusing kids, teachers sexually abusing kids, neighbors being serial killers, CEO’s stealing the companies money, and so on. What is this pattern making?

I now believe that since as a society we cant even trust the members of our society that are supposed to be role models and instructors, friends and family, how are we supposed to even think that the random stranger walking along the street is friendly? We still in one way or another need other people though, but were too afraid that we will be murdered/raped/robbed, or our kids will be stolen/raped/killed. What do we do? We send emails to people, or text messages. Phone calls themselves seem to even be going down. But wait though, whats the next step???

There’s a growing trend now online, about security. Watch out, or you’ll get a virus. Watch out, or your identity will be stolen. All of the fear that we have regarding our society as a whole, is now just transferring to our new playground. It makes me wonder…….Will our fear get the best of us in the long run?

There was this great movie that came out a couple of years ago called “Idiocracy”. The basic premise was about how over a 500 year span, we as humans won’t become more intelligent, but rather regress into stupidity. After I saw it, it was pretty striking that of all the futuristic portrayals in cinema, this seemed to be the one that rang true. There are many ways we can look at our society and think to ourselves, “I think we are progressing in the wrong way”. In my very humble opinion, I think we should take a look at the world of sports.

Over the past one hundred years, we in America have been captivated by the 4 “major” sports; Baseball, Basketball, Football, and (to a lesser degree) Hockey. All 4 of these sports, in order for a fan to appreciate them has to have somewhat of an understanding of these games. Baseball is incredibly complicated to the educated fan, with hundreds of possibilities based on field alignment and positioning alone. Plus, it’s the only sport where anyone can be the hero, IE: you can’t send up your best hitter if it’s bottom of the 9th with 2 out. Let’s move to the others.

Basketball is similar in the sense that there are a multitude of plays to run, and all members of the team are integral in developing offensive and defensive strategies to win the game. The fan partakes in this immensely, analyzing the court and becoming a mental coach in his own right. Hockey is no different, with the same processes going on. Football is a massive game, with so many strategies and possibilities that you could fill more than a phone books space up with them.

The bottom line, is that these games require the fan to use his or her brain to not only understand them, but to also follow along in order to enjoy them. They take intelligence. Now, what is the fastest growing sport in America today??? NASCAR!?!?!? Lets take a look-see.

Nascar is a (sport?) where thousands and thousands of people sit down in a giant outdoor arena, to watch their favorite car/driver continuously turn left about 300 times. What’s the goal for the driver? To be the fastest one to turn left 300 times. People, this is fucking ridiculous. We already have a (sport) where we have something fly around a track, and its called horse racing. We gamble on it. We don’t wear jackets of our favorite horses, or keep pictures of them on our refrigerators. Nascar as a company has just as big a merchandising pull on its customers as the hip/hop game does. And yes, I call it a game because Nascar is totally winning.

The fans of nascar don’t have the time to actually involve themselves in situational plays, mental coaching, strategies. I remember my dad talking to me about what the second basemen should do on a flyball to right field with 1 out and a runner on 2nd base. What does the nascar kid hear?

Nascar Dad: “Well lookee there son, watch that car drive around in circles”

Nascar Son: “Yee-Haw dad, I wonder what its gonna do next!”

Nascar Dad: “Well son, if we’re lucky, maybe well see a car crash and some fiery corpses!”

Nascar Son: “Oh Golly paw, that would be awesome! I love watching pointless violence!”

Baseball/Football/Hockey/Basketball Fan: “Human Beings are FUCKED!”
